Website design & development for a speciality pharmaceutical company

Project Description

Nemysis is a speciality pharmaceutical company, with a focus on products that address worldwide relevant nutritional deficiencies with particular attention not to damage a patient’s microbiome, thus minimising a plethora of gastrointestinal side effects.

Their old site no longer presented the organisation in a favourable way and was not easy to update.

Key digital objectives:

  • Build brand awareness and provide a clear overview of what the company does and establish themselves as credible players
  • As an early-stage pharma company the website also needed to act as a vehicle to attract investors as well as commercial and R&D partners

Our Approach

Working closely with the Nemysis we first of all set about mapping the new structure for the website and identifying the key content areas that will be required so that the site’s end users can easily achieve their online goals. During this stage we also developed the content brief so that the copywriter could populate each page with informative and easy to read web copy.

The next stage involved establishing a creative brief and beginning the design phase. As part of this process we presented a series of design concepts for the home page and internal pages for the client to review and feedback on.

When the final page designs had been approved we then set about building the site using the WordPress platform and integrating our visual drag and drop page editor. The site’s architecture was optimised for mobile devices as well as desktop. The individual web pages were built to be search engine friendly and we also dramatically improved the page speed scores compared to the previous site.

Once the pages had been built we then incorporated the copy that the copywriter had produced and started to populate the site with other supporting imagery. We then presented a final beta site to the client to review and request minor changes to the style and layout before we carried out our final testing phase. As part of our acceptance testing procedure we tested the site against 35 key criteria and also integrated tools like Google Analytics.

Once the site had passed all the acceptance tests and the client had signed-off on the project we then uploaded the site onto our live server environment and agreed a date to carry out the content management system training so that the client could start to maintain and update the site themselves.

Genetic Digital re-designed our new website and we are really pleased with the overwhelmingly positive feedback we’re received from our target audience. Damon and Gareth are knowledgeable, creative, prompt, and personable. They had a clear, straightforward approach to the project and worked with patience and diligence in promptly meeting each of our requests for the site during its development. We highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a professional digital team with extensive life sciences sector knowledge.
