Our Work

PharmaQuest

Educational app for the University of East Anglia School of Pharmacy.

The Objective

PharmaQuest has been designed to help pharmacy students learn basic facts about medicines.
It was originally created as a set of flash cards by the University of East Anglia. The mobile app contains a database of drugs, identified by academics as the most useful for pharmacy undergraduates to develop a working knowledge thereof before starting their pre-registration year.

Strategy

Researching end users’ educational goals and developing the user journey map.

UI Design

Simple and clean UI aimed at university students studying for a degree in pharmacy or medicine.

Development

iOS and Android pharma app development with a cloud-based backend.

App Store

Creating the app store assets and publishing the app onto the Google Play and Apple App stores.

Our Solution

The solution involved the design and development of the following:

App Based Testing

The PharmaQuest app comes with a number of questions freely available for pharmacy and medical students to test their knowledge of most frequently prescribed medicines.

In-App Purchasing

The app also contains ‘in-app purchasing’ allowing the option to purchase additional ‘packs’ to extend learning. These can be purchased individually or for a single ‘all packs’ purchase at a discounted price.

Also Used By

Due to the success of the PharmaQuest app within UEA it has also been rolled out within a number of other UK Universities.
